I study how genes and environment show up in a nervous system: a year of Alzheimer’s research in C. elegans with Emory, six weeks in a Fragile X lab, and a gene-delivery proposal for the Space Station at 14.

In Tel Aviv, Feb–May 2027. Looking for a part-time biotech internship, 3–4 days a week.

Two strands, one story

Every helix needs two strands. Mine are science, the labs, proposals and data, and leadership, the teams I’ve built and led. Each glowing rung is a moment. Scroll to climb, or tap a rung to jump to it.

I wrote, filmed and edited a brain-health PSA for teens on Alzheimer’s prevention, the same disease I was studying at the bench, and competed at the Georgia State Leadership Conference for Brain Health, Forensics, and Health Education.

Genes in Space semifinalist: top 15 of 820 teams

I proposed testing mechanoporation, squeezing cells through a microfluidic channel to let DNA in, aboard the International Space Station, with a GFP readout to compare delivery against Earth controls. I was the only solo 14-year-old in the semifinal.

Six weeks inside a Fragile X lab

At Emory’s Jin Lab (Human Genetics) I rotated through six researchers’ benches across mouse, Drosophila, iPSC and organoid models. I assisted with mouse brain dissection and DNA isolation and sorted flies by phenotype.

Does sugar speed up Alzheimer’s? A year with a transgenic worm.

Hypothesis not supported, and that is the finding

With Emory’s Katz Lab I designed and ran a 2×2 study, glucose vs. control and 15 °C vs. 25 °C, on worms that secrete GFP-tagged human β-amyloid. I poured the plates, synchronized the worms, imaged them on confocal and epifluorescence scopes, and ran the statistics.

In Tel Aviv, looking for a part-time biotech internship

From February to May 2027 I live in Tel Aviv on the Young Judaea Year Course, and I have three to four days a week to give an early-stage biotech company.

When
February to May 2027, about 3.5 months
How much
Part-time, 3–4 days a week; days are flexible
Where
Anywhere commutable from Tel Aviv (Ramat Gan, Herzliya, Petah Tikva, Ness Ziona, Rehovot)
What
Wet-lab work first, or the science side of a computational team
No program needed
A bench, a mentor and work that matters to the company

What I bring on day one: sterile technique and media prep, plate pouring and bacterial culture, PCR, gels and restriction digests, C. elegans maintenance and synchronization, confocal and epifluorescence imaging, ImageJ quantification, and statistics (two-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis).
